Does Kunstler have all of the information needed to substantiate his predictions?  I doubt it.

Is he closer to the truth than most 'experts' in the media?  Definitely.

Yeah, he does get a bit hysterical but, all his hyper-ventilating aside, he's at least raising awareness of a looming petroleum shortage which is just one of many things that could cause either a short-term or long-term emergency.
